The Learn Local network website was officially launched on 14 March 2014. You can check out the new website at

The main aim of the website is to provide an online home for the Learn Local network which will act as a ‘gateway’ for users to find out about their nearest Learn Local organisation. While it will provide a little information about what Learn Local education and training is all about, its main purpose is to drive traffic straight out to Learn Local organisations. You will be able to see this in action on the website as almost every page leads users to the ‘Find a Learn Local’ search function, and then directly to individual Learn Locals.

This website has been built to support the network and increase the online presence of Learn Local organisations. It is not intended to compete with or replace Learn Locals’ individual websites.

Find a Learn Local search function
The website includes an improved search function that will ensure potential learners can find their closest Learn Local organisation. The majority of Learn Local organisations have agreed to be on this search function, but if for some reason your organisation has missed out or your contact details needs updating please contact the ACFE Board Secretariat on

Adding content to the website
You can also influence the other content on the website. All registered Learn Local organisations are welcome to submit content to the website managers (Adult Learning Australia and the Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres) such as:
  • events and programs for the Spotlight On page (rotated regularly),
  • new learner stories for the Stories for learners section,
  • inclusions on the Learn Local social media channels (including videos on the YouTube channel).

This is the network’s website so it’s a fabulous resource to promote all your Learn Local activities. Please send any content ideas to the website managers at

Thank you in advance for helping to promote the sector. We expect the new website will increase the awareness of the sector and the extraordinary things that are achieved by Learn Locals on a daily basis.

Provider information
Please note that all information for Learn Local organisations, such as ACFE Board Memos and information about grants and funding, will still be available on the Department's website in the Learn Local training provider section:

The Learn Local website is solely targeted at potential and current learners and other stakeholders keen to find out more about the sector.
